Hey Ladies!
Habitat for Humanity, an organization that builds houses for low-income families, is hosting a contest in my area called Habitown, where groups come in and build all different types of buildings to create a mock “town”. This year, my group, appropriately called Women’s Build, has chosen to build a library called “Building Herstory”. Our idea is that the building will look like an open book, where you walk in through the “binding” of the book and then the shelves are on moving walls that represent the pages. However, we can’t get enough books to fill these shelves in time. So someone had the fantastic idea that we could all write our own stories on the “pages”. So, if you have a favorite quote or an inspirational story that you want on the pages, please send it in to me by next saturday, the 28th! You can send them in using anon or if you want your name on the wall you can send that in too! All of your stories will help us get closer to winning. Us women need to band together and show those boys who’s boss! Even if you don’t want to send a story, please reblog to help me get this out there! I’ll post the pictures once we get it finished up!
