On a scale of most self serving to least self serving among all gods trying to help you out with their boons we have:

Demeter and Zeus sharing the top spot as most self serving, but for completely different reasons.

Then Ares, Poseidon and (Maybe) Aphrodite, who are doing it for the hell of it and don’t care either way.

Below them is probably Hermes, since he’s technically doing this because he’s got hired to do it but at least he has some stakes in this.

Then Athena, who is doing it because Nyx asked her to and didn’t need to be hired.

Dionysus is also doing this for the hell of it but from what I’ve seen of the guy he actually does seem genuine in his desire to have a party with you when you get up there.

And to end this Artemis, who among them seems the most genuine and with the most noble principles, and just wants to help her cousin out.

it  has  been  a  while  since  she's  seen  him  ...  at  all  ,  much  less  like  this  ,  much  less  this  CLOSE  .  he  looks  like  he's  truly  coming  into  his  own  —  something  megaera  had  once  upon  a  time  doubted  that  he  would  .  they  both  lean  against  the  railing  now  ,  the  river  styx  flowing  below  the  overlook  .  

this  party  may  be  in  the  house  ,  but  it  is  ENTIRELY  for  zagreus'  benefit  .  she  was  kept  out  of  the  politics  of  it  ,  for  once  ,  which  she  had  appreciated  at  the  time  .  now  ,  however  ,  she  feels  out  of  her  depth  .  

what  should  she  say  ?  

she  ultimately  says  nothing  ,  but  that  does  not  mean  she  can  take  her  eyes  off  of  him  .

Now on another note.

I keep on seeing ship art for Thanatos and Zagreus and I'm like haha what a popular ship but I finally ran into Thanatos in the game and Now I Know Why.
