Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

“Do not carry the worries of this life because this is for Allāh. And do not carry the worries of sustenance because it is from Allāh. And do not carry anxiety for the future because it is in the Hands of Allāh. Carry one thing; pleasing Allāh. Because if you please Him, He pleases you, fulfils you and enriches you.”

Make Duʿā For Your Parents

Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:

إن الرجل لترفع درجته في الجنة فيقول : أنى لي هذا ؟ فيقال : باستغفار ولدك لك

“Indeed a man's status is raised in Jannah and he asks: ‘Where did I get this from?’, so it is said to him: ‘By your child seeking forgiveness (of Allāh) for you’.”

𝟓 𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐐 - 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡!

𝟏. 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐈𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐟𝐚𝐚𝐫:

"𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝: '𝐀𝐬𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲, 𝐇𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐭-𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠; '𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬."

2. Fear Allah ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻧﻪ ﻭﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ. Have Taqwa:

"Whosoever fears Allah 'keeps his duty to Him', He will make a way for him to get out from every difficulty. And He will provide for him from (sources) he could never imagine."

[65:2-3]

𝟑. 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡:

𝐔𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, "𝐈 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡, ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ, 𝐬𝐚𝐲, '𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐡 𝐚𝐬 𝐇𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧, 𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐬 𝐇𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐝𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐠𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥'."

[𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐭-𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐡𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, "𝐇𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧"]

4. 𝑉𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑡 𝑌𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝐾𝑖𝑛𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑝:

𝐼𝑚𝑎𝑎𝑚 𝐵𝑢𝑘ℎ𝑎𝑎𝑟𝑖 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑀𝑢𝑠𝑙𝑖𝑚 𝑠𝑎𝑖𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑝ℎ𝑒𝑡 ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ 𝑠𝑎𝑖𝑑 𝑎𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑦 𝐴𝑛𝑎𝑠 ﺭﺿﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻨﻪ"𝐻𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑒 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑤𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑡ℎ/𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒 𝑏𝑒 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑑 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑚𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑝."

𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐭-𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐡𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐭-𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭 ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, "𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞."

5. Giving charity:

"Whatsoever you spend of anything for Allah, He will replace it. He is the best of those who grant Sustenance."

[34:39]

𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, 𝐀𝐛𝐮 𝐇𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡, ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ, 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, "𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬, '𝐒𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦, 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧'."

𝐈𝐧 𝐀𝐭-𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐢, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭 ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐥𝐥. 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐥 ﺭﺿﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻨﻪ 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, '𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐥?'

𝐇𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, '𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮'.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭 ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, '𝐎𝐡 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐥, 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬'.

𝐈𝐧 𝐀𝐭-𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐡𝐢, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭 ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, "𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐧 𝟑 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: [𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦] 𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐪𝐚𝐡 (𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲) 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡."
