By now Lydia was used to helping various members of the pack study and given the role the supernatural world had taken in their lives sometimes it was a necessity to catch people up. The last thing she wanted was for one of her friends to fail a test or junior year for that matter and normally Scott had been intent on seeking help from Stiles or figuring things out on his own but with certain things she was the only one that could help and she didn't really mind.
Tonight it was Chemistry and while she had already done her homework earlier that day she had agreed to help the alpha with his. Scott was seated on the floor near the foot of her bed while Lydia sat behind him, a single leg dangling near his shoulder as she watched him go over her notes. Every now and then a soft growl of concentration would flow past his lips which would result in an unseen smile claiming hers.
Leaning over him she would correct him when necessary but otherwise she waited as he would work the problems out on his own. However when she happened to notice that he was getting discouraged her fingers would weave through his dark cross of hair, the strands slipping between her fingers while her nails would rake lightly across his scalp. She was trying to calm him but the thought that she might be distracting him had crossed her mind. Still, she continued hoping that the gesture would relax him so that he could concentrate on the book in front of him.
