AMON HAD SPENT MANY days and nights pondering how to save Seidou. On one hand, he wondered if it was even possible considering the damage Eto’s manipulation could truly do to the mind, but on the other, the thought of killing his friend was too difficult for him to even want to ponder. If there was even a small chance of being able to save them, he wanted to at least try. Amon had enough guilt on his conscience to last him an entire lifetime. He honestly didn’t want more. It had taken much work and careful timing to catch Seidou on a day where he wasn’t being watched as if ey were a feral dog that needed to be kept under lock and key. Tugging em away from the hellish environment had not been as difficult as Amon would have thought.
Seidou didn’t want to be there to begin with.
It was odd how their group functioned now. Everyone had their own goals, yet their dislike for similar individuals was rather strong---so much, that it wasn’t difficult to find a way to work together without too much issue. Taking a deep breath, Amon held out a small brown package to Seidou. It was obvious what was within, a sweet smell wafting from that brown paper that would only make a ghoul’s mouth water. “Here. A comrade brought some food earlier in case you are not fond of eating what I normally do.” Although he didn’t think that Seidou was a picky eater to begin with considering what eirs palate had been back under Eto’s service.
She had specifically and carefully starved em to an extent that would make em much more vicious on the field. Not enough to weaken him, but enough to where ey would have issues in combat. Regardless, Amon was just glad that the other wouldn’t have to stay in that cesspool anymore and could at least help him to an extent. After all, there was only so much he could do on his own. Loathe as he was to admit it, Amon did need more people to help him with his goal and ensure things did not fall apart before they even truly began.
