Jamie holds showcase for Stars and reveals surprises for Lovemi!

Han’s showcase marks the beginning of her promotions for her album as well as the end of her long 9 month hiatus. Earlier she had announced that she would be revealing special surprises for Lovemi who had been waiting patiently and eagerly for her return. During the MC she first revealed that her official fandom, “Lovemi” would be opening for the 2nd generation of members. Applications will be allowed to be sent in up until September 1.

Her second surprise is that she will be holding a raffle in which the prize winner will receive an autographed album along with an autographed poster. Fans will be able to enter the raffle via Han’s fancafe! Those who enter, even if they don’t win, will also receive tickets to a private fan meet and greet. (The raffle has a limit to how many people can enter so you should be quick!)

The third surprise had many fans in the audience expressing confusion as Han announced she would be holding a solo concert after the promotion period of Stars was over. This caused fans to be worried as Han has already announced and canceled a solo concert twice in the past. However, in response to the audience Jamie playfully pouted and said, “This time it’s for real, I promise!”

Despite the previous announcements that Han had made, it was the fourth and final surprise that had fans screaming and jumping out of their seats. Jamie announced a special guest had come for the showcase and was revealed to be none other than Yeori (@ccreepri), a former member of Creep. Jamie has known to be a big fan of Creep and once even shared a label with them. It didn’t stop there as the two began to perform Creep’s track, Chase Me. Han had previously released a cover of the song as a pre-release to her actual solo debut. The collaboration stage brought back tears to many eyes in the audience as it gave them a good amount of nostalgia.

The showcase turned out to be a huge success and had many fans talking positively about the album and surprises Han had in store for them.

Jamie Han holds showcase for new album release!

On August 13, 2017, Jamie released her first repackaged album, “Eclipse”. It was stated to be a sequel to her previous release, “I Wish”. The showcase was held on the night of the release where Han performed all songs of the album as well as previous digital releases in addition to a cover of Jaeun’s “Wanna Date Me?”

During the MC portion of the performance, Jamie broken down in tears while talking about her late mother, who was also a former idol and her late-father who was their lyricist. Her mother was Ace and Spade’s (A.N.S) leader, Juliet during the early 90′s. It is the first time, Han has spoken so openly about her parents.

“After my mother passed away and my first attempt at debut failed, I felt really anxious about this path. There were many times I wanted to quit, even while preparing as a member of Krokos. I cried every night and felt sick often. Even after confiding in one of my seniors, while it helped, I still couldn’t shake the feeling. Now, I feel very confident and am proud of the colors I’m showing.

Everyone knows that my father was the lyricist for A.N.S., that’s how he met my mother. After my parents passed away, I found a journal of my mom’s from that time. She talked about how she was in love but because she was a celebrity it felt wrong. In the end my parents were happily married and had us. [Referring to herself and her younger brother]

Their deaths were so sudden and it felt so unreal. I suffered from depression back then and couldn’t assume my responsibilities as an older sibling. Now, I am all alone but I think my parents would be proud of me so I feel comforted. Singing and performing is a connection I have with my mother. I’ve written the lyrics for ‘Romeo, Juliet and Their Dream’ on my album with the help of the feelings from my mother’s journal, and my own about their deaths. Now that I’ve written lyrics I’m proud of, I feel a connection to my father as well. The song is also dedicated to my sibling, it’s very important to me. I hope you all enjoy it and are able to be touched by the feelings I’ve sincerely put into this album.”

Jamie Han releases special cover ahead of mini album release!

Han has been working hard since leaving 2k Entertainment with the announcement of her first mini album release. Many were shocked at the announcement so soon after signing with Crown Empire but have been anxiously awaiting what’s in store. There was some uproar with rumours of Han having conflict with 2k Entertainment artists.

However, Han has put those rumours to rest with a cover of Regret of the Times by Seo Taiji and Boys with both Crown Empire, 2k Entertainment and other artists. The group has shown amazing chemistry with the cover, despite being from different companies. Fans are also impressed by the overall quality of the cover.

Jamie Han releases music video for digital single “Catch Me”!

Jamie debuted in 2K Entertainment’s girl group, Krokos, on February 14, 2017 but departed from the group in early March and began solo preparations. While it is a cover of Creep’s (@fy-creep) Nightmare, which was released two months prior, Han has used her own set of lyrics and a slightly changed instrumental to make the song her own. These new lyrics were written by both Han and Ok:Go member, Gale (@jnwoog). 2K Entertainment trainee, Kana ( @kravr ) has also appeared in the music video as a back-up dancer.

The young artist had previously released a soundcloud release titled “Shut Up” in December of last year and has announced she will also be performing the song as part of her promotions with “Catch Me”.

Fans were also surprised to see another former Krokos member, Jaeun (@ljaeun) make an appearance in the music video as the featured rapper.

“Catch Me” will see limited promotions as Jamie has stated she is working on her first mini album to be released in a few months, though the official release date is unknown. However, many are curious to see what Jamie will bring to the table in the future as the portrayed concept is a complete opposite to that she showed as a member of Krokos.

Jamie Han holds special showcase for media personnel only.

Han recently released her first digital single titled, “Catch Me”. The single was released on May 21 and Han has mostly been focusing on fan signings and new video content. She’s also announced that she has been working on her first mini album, which will be released sometime this year. On May 24, Han held a special showcase for media personnel in order to hype her single release and future solo activities.

Fans were not allowed in to the event as it was specifically meant for media to have full focus on Han as well as more interactions. While Han’s digital single only contains the track “Catch Me”, she also performed her previous solos, “Shut Up“ and “Autumn Leaves”. In addition to her solos she also performed Krokos’ “Hold Up”, which she stated is a song that is very dear to her.

So far the media has stated that Jamie is an artist to keep on your radar and praised her for being able to pull off different concepts.

Jamie has released a special dance cover with her backup dancers to build hype for her upcoming solo release. You can find the video on youtube. Trainee Kana ( @kravr ) who has been gaining a lot of attention for her vocal skills has also been revealed to be promoting with Han as one of her dancers for this upcoming single. This has left fans even more excited for the single’s release.
