HEYAAA!
How are you doing? :D
Hope you have a fantastic day :D
I've got something random for ya, which I've been thinking for a while. What's one childhood memory, that you remember fondly (or said that story to a friend), doing some questionable shenanigans? And by the "questionable shenanigans" I mean something that seemed absolutely normal for a kid but a weeeee bit terrifying for an adult?
I'll go first, I remember vividly my 10-year-old self finding a pretty big crab - round the size of two adults palms of hands - inside the sea (where you could still reach the sand verticaly) and instead of swimming away like a normal person, the idea of sword fighting with the crab, holding a light long stone for a sword seemed to be the most fun I could have at the moment XD
Need to mention, no crab or fingers were harmed during that day and the little fella refused to get to shore afterwards, so I gave up after a long while, and went looking for sea shells XD
That's some questionable shenanigans I'll never forget XD
Swordfighting a crab....that's beautiful and everyone should do it.
Oh gods I don't think I know anything I did that was funny...
WAIT THE LAMB BRAIN! This is kinda gross (for other people)...
Okay so it was my 7th grade (13 years old at this point) STEM class. It was a biomedical/forensic class. We dissected lamb brain to understand the parts of the human brain. We did this multiple times to show finding tumors in a brain among other things. Well the first time we did this, our teacher warned that formaldehyde smells really bad. I couldn't really smell a thing, but a few of my classmates had turned green from the smell. Anyways, I smelled it, wasn't that bad. So we dissected the brain, labeling all the parts, and we had some time left after the whole class finished.
My teacher, bless her heart, said "okay, you guys can do whatever you want to with the brains", which most people took to cutting it up more. Not I! I grabbed the majority of the left hemisphere (it was kinda cut a bit since we were labeling parts) with my hand and squeezed it. Then I looked at my lab partner and said "it looks like chicken". I was 13. They were 12-13. My poor lab partner.
Yeah, she looked at me like I was crazy and denied heavily that it did. I still think it did to this day. I also still eat chicken to this day, lamb brain chicken did not ruin that for me :)
Not sure if that counts as a shenanigan but it was slightly concerning, I find it more concerning that I couldn't smell the formaldehyde more, but alas, that's when my main "oh I'd be good in medical" thought started so it wasn't all bad.
