Who do you think I am? Of course, I do.

While I am Still on the fence about Al Haitham. As I don't think he's a person who needs a romantic relationship. He is rather happy in his current position. And goes to such lengths to keep his peace.

While I do see him and Diluc getting a long really well. How they think, and their personalities just would mesh really well. I think they could have really stimulating conversations with each other. Which could be a really good slow burn, to be honest. (But both of them planing over elaborate dates trying to out do each other lmaooo)

But Kaveh.

Oh boy, Kaveh. He is already approved for Diluc Harem.

Because you can't tell me Kaveh wouldn't fall head first for Diluc. He would see this handsome, pretty and perfect man, and he wouldn't fall head first down the stairs?

He absolutely would.

And best part?

He'd be totally clueless about Diluc's money. He would be solely focused on how pretty and charming Diluc is. Absolutely doesn't put it together that Diluc Raginvindr is THE Diluc Raginvindr Mondstadt's uncrown King. He just doesn't focus on that part.

It's magical.

Either way, you go It's going to take Diluc a LONG time to recognize either's affection as anything more than friendship. So In honesty, These 3 have me dying. I need Al Haitham and Kaveh to be out. Like yesterday.

Since I’m favoring Modern AUs right now let’s start there

Diluc works a LOT. He definitely feels the need to make excuses for why he wants affection from Al Haitham. He eventually learns that he doesn’t need reasons to be with Al Haitham.

I feel like their idea of a date is either going to library. Or working beside each other. Also I’m some cases Diluc would take Al Haitham to a quiet cafe.

Ooo maybe they’d definitely go on vacation together. During that vacation instead of visiting tourist spots they’d probably just walk around and visit some nice places. Diluc might have studied before hand things they could do.

In this I feel like a Modern AU is just Genshin Impact in a modern setting.

So on that note I think since Sumeru and Mondstadt are pretty far apart maybe Diluc would call Al Haitham or FaceTime him when he feels lonely.

If you read one of the bulletin boards for some cafe in Port Ormos, you’ll find that Kaveh has a monthly tab for coffee and that Al-Haitham refused to pay for it because he got into one of their more fiery debates.

Them playing nice through gritted teeth because Diluc is so goddamn funny to me.

But I think Diluc would be able to bring them to a more mutual understanding of each other. Of course, this deepens their personal admiration for Diluc cause.

"I never thought I would understand such a frivolous lunatic. But Diluc's great rationale has given me a deep insight."

"I can not be as even tempted as lovely master, but his thoughtfulness has helped me deal with that robotic brute."

And I have been reading the board, and I love that Kaveh's hobby seems to be telling everyone about how shit Al Haitham is. It makes me think of that Mean Girl's quote,

"I spend about 80% of my time talking about Regina and the other 20% praying for someone to bring her up so I can talk about her more."

That's Kaveh about Al Haitham. And I couldn't find it again, but there is a posting about someone who hadn't gotten their ordered wine. And the reply was that a blond man saying he was your roommate took. And the reply was just "I understand"

I mean, I can't be sure that was them, but it really sounds like Kaveh stole some wine from Alhaitham.

Al Haitham and Kaveh on the harem is so funny, especially because these two live together and Kaveh being another broke without mora character.

And yes, it's more... from what I understood at least, their friendship is that they keep cursing at each other, you know, that friendship that you say "ugh I hate them" but you don't really REALLY hate them. Al Haitham wouldn't lend his house to Kaveh if they really despised each other, unless he's really indifferent and gained something back from this situation, which I think it's unlikely with Kaveh being..... Y'know, he strikes me as someone really genuine and more emotional and AlHaitham as more, can be manipulative if necessary, and mind above heart.

(people are already shipping these two and I'm just... waiting more, I think I need so see Kaveh first before I decide, dunno why, maybe I don't ship them and see them more like Itto and Sara, I love them as friends it's just so funny)

But bro Diluc being sandwiched between them, now I can see that. *nod nod

But remember that order of Kaeya's approval for Diluc? Where do you think they would be? (saying now like we don't really really know much about Kaveh and even Al Haitham, even if he already appeared), I think AlHaitham would be a little far back, I bet Kaeya would think he wasn't genuine or like "is that really a relationship? wtf? do you even love him?"

So that's the same position I was in. But then I started thinking about Al Haitham falling because Diluc is a clever man who always has a plan and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty to learn what he wants to know. Diluc is curious and willing to pursue it with a clear focus. And that appeals to Al Haitham.

BUT Kaveh. Kaveh is one of the few you can instantly pick up that Diluc is not all he seems. And Instantly, with his eye for detail notices Diluc's kind and gentle nature. He likes how Diluc always follows his heart and stands strong. And You know... helps Diluc is more than happy to share his mora.

So They both see Diluc very differently, and it makes me laugh that they crush on the same guy but don't realize it. Like they'll each off handly mention this lovely creature they meet. And it just turns into a low-key argument they have where each is insisting their crush is better.

And it turned out to be the same dude

Is stupid funny to me.

Of course, I could totally be wrong about both of them, but ya know. I still like the idea.

Now The Kaeya scale.

Let me actually Simply this and just make it a 0-10 scale with Thoma at 9.9. (10 is impossible) and approved, while Zhongli is a 0 and loathed.

Currently, with what we have of Al Haitham. I think he's very low on the scale. And Kaeya would not trust for him to properly show Diluc the affection he needs. So he'd probably be ranked above Albedo but below Eula As he could be convinced Al Haitham care for Diluc so around a 4.

Kaveh though. While he could very easily express his affection, he's still gonna rank lower just because his finical situation is gonna set alarms off for Kaeya. But I think he's making efforts, unlike Zhongli. And if he got in a better position, his rank would go up, but until then, probably right under Al Haitham at like a 3.5
