modern au haithren where ren sits facing alhaitham on his motorcycle, using the visor of his helmet as a mirror to apply her lip tint, leaning in to check her reflection.

she's close enough that her face fills his entire field of view through the dark glass, close enough that he can count her lashes, close enough that her breath briefly fogs the visor.

his grip tighten around the handlebars, knuckles faintly whitening as he watches her with his lips slightly parted beneath the helmet, while she purses her own and carefully fixes the edges.

as for the akademiya au: they're both still students (shockers); alhaitham is from haravatat and ren is from vahumana!!

OKAY ANYWAY heres a late haithren valentines idea that i forgot to post haha:

ren walks into alhaitham's office and the first thing she notices is the mountain of chocolates, letters, flowers all stacked messily on his desk.

oh right it's valentines.

she hands him the report on zubayr theater's recent activities; he skims through it quickly, then gives her a brief, sincere compliment on a job well done (which too effectively made her brain short-circuit for a moment.)

she’s about to take her leave when he stops her and very casually, tells her to pick a chocolate from the wide array of options on his desk.

and ren, assuming he just wants to get rid of the excess because there’s just too many and there's no way in hell he's going to eat all of that—opens a box, tries it, and immediately lights up. wait this is insanely good!! (sweet tooth activated)

she takes another piece and without thinking, leans over his desk to hand-feed him the remaining chocolate.

haitham obediently opens his mouth to accept the chocolate, all while maintaining eye contact with her.

then it hits her what she’s doing. she gets flusteredpromax, and pulls her hand back immediately before muttering a clumsy farewell.

so now he sits there mildly annoyed at her, thinking about how she distracted him so badly he forgot to ask her out for dinner on valentine’s day.

(buddy probably rehearsed the wording in his head ten times before she came in too)

ok but realistically both of them would have their fair share of admirers.

with alhaitham, most people are too intimidated by his perpetual idgaf aura to approach him directly, so naturally, his desk ends up with anonymous gifts.

while ren, on the other hand, works in the dance industry, so people approaching her with gifts is quite normal. plus her and nilou probably get flowers and letters all the time after performances. so she’s just used to it!!

before i forget, one thing i really like abt haithren is how their colour scheme is also a symbolism of their opposites attract trope. because purple and green are directly opposite of each other on the colour wheel <3 yes i will keep mentioning this coincidence forever because I Like Purple (big fan btw) and the opposites attract thing w haitham js came so naturally too <3

alhaitham getting jealous whenever people go up to ren n give her flowers during curtain call. its fine usually, he thinks she deserves every bouquet for her hard work anyway. but when some people get too touchy aka those that forget about personal space, his patience starts to wear thin. his expression visibly darkens, and he gives them the most naaaaaastiest side eye one can imagine. (thankfully, the message is clear enough that anyone with half a brain finally backs off) #lol
