I decided to come up with a fake exotic for Destiny. A Hakke Trace Rifle. It's a kinetic, but for a kinetic weapon to fire a beam like a trace rifle I figured it had to be something like sand. And thus, this King of The Hill reference was given live.

“Don’t turn this into a sales pitch. If this works and doesn’t completely destroy my room, you’ll have my thanks, but I’m still not buying anything through Häkke’s refer-a-friend program.”
