There’s a huge crowd forming over a street in the Market District, large enough that it can catch the attention of anybody passing through. A closer inspection would reveal that the source of all this clamor comes from a crepe store, with dozens in line to take their orders on the go.
…Huh. Is that what’s popular in this city?
Goro didn’t have a reputation to keep anymore, so there’s no need for him to try out every bandwagon or trend that comes across his way. Still, old habits don’t die that easily, and for once he’s curious about it for more than just a simple conversation starter. This world was inhabited from individuals of other worlds. If a love for such sweets turned out to be so universal, then maybe the food would be worth it.
Right beside him was a girl whose hair had a darker shade of brown than his. She was looking at the store, but she’s not in line to order just yet. Maybe she’s still deciding? To her, Goro flashed one of his practiced smiles.
“Hello there,” he started. “The crepes here look good, but I’m lost in deciding which flavor to pick. May you give me a recommendation?”
