When the elder brother viscously murdered his smaller sibling, he fled San Angeles and probably ended up joining the mafia in the United States. Maria is devastated by her child’s terrible death, and Manolo would feel ashamed as a father for failing to protect his smallest child. And one of the three remaining children would may swear to avenge his youngest brother’s death and their soiled family honor.
Meanwhile, the murdered child wandered out of the Land of the Remembered into the rest of the netherworld, hungry and alone, ending up in places like the demon wasteland that separates the underworld from paradise. The Sanchez ancestors didn’t even find out about the child’s death until they saw his picture on their family alter on Dia de los Muertos, and it’s up to Carlos and Carmen and their family to find the boy before he faces a fate worse than death.
What would you add to the story? I don’t know if I can think of a happy ending for this…
**edit, I’m sorry, my finger slipped... I meant to add this:
OK, these are what I could come up with
Not exactly a happy ending, but maybe through martyrdom, the child gained a special status among spirits, perhaps the potential to ascend into another thing (A deity of some sort, perhaps?) After Carlos and Carmen rescue him, he is revealed to this truth. He accepts and it gives him the power to judge/apply justice on his brother when he passes, but also watch over his family, which he does and helps him heal his battered heart.
On a happier but much less logical option: After a consultation with the deities on the Day of the Dead, María comes up with the solution that they make a wager with whichever deity has control over time/space (If they win, the deity will turn back time just enough for them to save their child) but first they must obtain something the deity will want. After an dangerous quest for it, they make the wager and win, and save the child. Only, to save him, they have to send away their clearly disturbed older child, which is a permanent shadow on their otherwise happy life
(I’m also kinda wondering how could one of their kids be constantly abused in their own home without them noticing)
Another, much less interesting solution could be that Carlos and Carmen find their grandkid, lead him back to the Land of the Remembered with the rest of the Sanchez (Where the child is slowly recovering from their issues) make an agreement with La Noche or El Chamuco (Or whoever runs the spooks department in the TBOL!Universe) to visit the other kid at night and haunt him and spook him half to death, until he repents his ways, returns home and takes responsability for their acts
I thought real hard about these, sorry if they’re kinda predictable
How does the gravepainters feel about zombies?
haldrada
Xibalba finds them boring and dull. While La Muerte is not fond of them because most of them try to eat mortals.
Your pictures of the Sanchez Twins with historical figures of the Mexican Revolution are AWESOME! I can imagine that being in the Land of the Remembered can be a two-edged sword, what with famous and infamous people and soldiers from both sides of a conflict going to the same place! Imagine the Sanchez Twins accosted by souls of those they had actually killed in the Revolution! Or confronting the spirit of the ones who killed them in battle!
"Remember that time we blew up your caravan?"
"Remember that time I shot you?"
"Lucky Shot!"
I would hope in the next world, time and booze would heal all wounds.
haldrada replied to your post:SOMEONe has to be a krogan… benny as an asari...
Emmet - The Generic Human Metalbeard - Krogan (and a CYBORG Krogan too) Benny - Quarian Wyldstyle - Asari Batman - Turian (you know why) Vitruvius - Drell (as a mystic, seems like a good fit) Unikitty - Vorcha (because that would be hilarious)
oH MAN!! I DIDNT EVEN THINK ABOUT THE WHOLE SPACE BATMAN THING,, omg
i could actually totally see unikitty as a vorcha/krogan, the races that are known for going into their "blood rages" when too stressed,, but also i could see unikitty as bein an asari?? like how asari have the idea of this ideal society that they push forward andh ow they basically Run the galactic community and all,,
Dude unikitty is a spectre i bet. princess unikitty,, spectre unikitty,, that or just has some form of power associated with her
micromanagers maybe can be reapers?? hM,, would that make busy kinda like the illusive man?? that Works, octan can kind of equate to cerberus
benny would kinda be like joker i think,, sassy quarian pilot/mechanic,
emmet is like shep where the piece of resistance is like?? the beacon from the first game
hmm,, gcbc could be kinda like miranda maybe?? DUDE,, gcbc being genetically modified, oh My gosh i like that a lot like u kno how henry lawson was making all those babies to make the Perfect one? maybe gcbc is an earlier version of one and the personality switching is some kind of genetic offset or smth that whoever made/modified him didnt want so he joined up w/octan
OR gcbc being like miranda in that one cop has the other cop that's their genetic clone that they keep tabs on and keep safe secretly,, dude
haldrada said: So the Crogs’ mission is to defend the galaxy from the destructive utter stupidity of humanity? Not surprising.
That's one way to look at it.
I'm sure she's spent a few moments pondering the possibilities.
We all seen Little Blue with her little volus plushie, so what would happen if she met a real volus? I bet that would be adorable.
I figure that such a meeting might go something like this:
