look at me
One, two, three, four, five, six
I promised a post about my ocs, so here's a partial summary of their backstory and who they are. Visuals incoming. I have eleven total ocs so far - and they're all demons. Well. Most of them. I'll get to that part in a second. This is a Part 1 post; let me know what you think. Because I have uh, way more where this came from. I'm just tryin not to post five mile long infodumps.
The place these demons come from - Hell, as we call it, but something much more to them - is populated with millions, billions of demons. Otherworldly beings living their lives in an Underneath world, most of them managing the many afterlifes, some of them managing magic, and a few at the top just hoarding the magic instead. Demons are everywhere in this world, doing all sorts of tasks, living in houses and generally existing. However, there's one rule about these demons: it's against the law to have children with humans. It's possible to travel to Earth, and it even happens quite often for business, but even simply befriending humans is a bad idea. In the eye of those who govern, demons are much more powerful beings, ones that live much longer and have so much more control over things than humans do. To mix with them would reveal the way of the demons to humankind, and put everyone in jeopardy. Or so they say. Also, they think it's gross. As a precaution, every time a "halfblood" child is found, they're taken away. It's assumed by mostly everyone that they're killed.
One day, a halfblood child is born. His mother doesn't want him to be killed, so she sets up a team of well-trusted demons to protect her child. She sends four demons with the baby across the dimensions to stay on earth, and sets up a house for them to live in, hiding in secret from the other demons. To ensure secrecy, they swear to use only numbers to designate themselves, and to forget their old names. Numbers go in order of volunteers/who was chosen to take part. The child is known as One. The other four demons do their best to keep One safe, but not long after they get there Five disappears. The rest of them don't know exactly what happened - and don't think it's safe to try to find out. They worry Five might have defected and turned back to send someone after them, but they can't do much about that anyway. So they live on earth for 22 years, surviving using supplies sent to them from their homeland by One's mother, and get pretty comfortable.
Until they aren't. They get found out, and Two, Three, and Four get taken back to the Underneath. One somehow escapes and goes to live far off somewhere he can't be reached - it's unclear where that is. In an instant, a family of four vanishes, and little information is left behind about what happened. The house, left in a hurry, stays abandoned for over two decades, and fades away from familiarity beyond being the haunted house on the street.
And then another halfblood child is born...
Full disclosure I am so bad at naming characters that my roster of ten ocs from my one "comic" are all just numbers (1 through 11) and then after that I came up with a reason for them to all go by numbers instead of actual real people names because I just couldn't come up with anything satisfying
Also, are your halfblood OCs from our world but different, or a whole new place?
This ask is so interesting to me because I've posted in the tag "halfbloodsix" only a handful of times times across all my different tumblr accounts... Not that I haven't been posting the OCs more than that, but I just haven't been working very hard to link "halfblood" to them, lol. I'll put this under a readmore since the post is gonna be long...
