Shoutout to systems with psychosis!
All too often mental illness and plurality go hand in hand. And it’s a struggle to deal with being neurodiverse while also dealing with having a heavily stigmatized mental illness. So here’s to systems with psychosis! Here’s to systems:
- who are psygenic, hallugenic, or formed entirely or partly due to having psychosis
- whose psychosis makes it hard to tell whether their headmates and system experiences are real or not
- face challenges receiving the help they need due to their plurality, psychosis, or a combination of the two
- whose psychosis makes it so that their system is not taken seriously in plural or medical spaces
- who seek fusion or integration as a way to cope with their psychosis
- choose not to fuse or integrate as a way to cope with their psychosis
- whose psychosis makes communication within the system challenging
- whose psychosis amplifies their plurality, and vice versa
You all are loved, valid, and such an important part of the plural community! Being plural is not easy, and having psychosis on top of that might be scary and overwhelming at times! Please know that you’re not alone in your experience - there are plenty of psychotic systems out there who share your struggles!
Hold your head up high and be proud of who you are! We love you and we’re rooting for you - please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re in need of a kind word or some support! We will happily accept you with open arms as you are - you don’t need to change in order to receive acceptance, kindness, and respect!
