I remember playing Halo 1 and 2 before with my cousin. Good times.

This was circulating around on Youtube as a meme so I wanted to try it LOL. Too short to upload it so here it is.

Halo Original Soundtrack: The siege of Madrigal

Infinite's soundtrack really captured that Halo feel. I'd even argue to say more than the OGs.

(of course you don't forget where you came from, the og trilogy ost is great)

But man. 'Foundations' is perfect awe and mystery. 'Through the trees' really feels like getting shit done in the halo rings. 'Under Cover' may have moved to my favorite, it's like a perfect sound encapsulation of Zeta Halo.

Something about it. That whole ring has just such ancient vibes, and the OST really captures that "ancient as hell ring that housed horrible history, repurposed into something x10 that"

I feel like I'm going insane. There's a specific piece of background music in Bakugan that is IDENTICAL to a riff in the Halo: Reach OST track Winter Contingency. At 9:41 of that track a distorted bass drum with a guitar lick starts repeating. This is what I've heard in episodes of Bakugan, most obviously at the end of season 4 episode 4 though i also heard it in a late episode of season 2. The riff happens at a much slower tempo but it sounds literally exactly the same otherwise. What's going on? Did Marty O'Donnell plagiarize? Did the riff come from a royalty free sound library? I need someone with know-how to dive down this rabbit hole.

Halo Infinite is fast approaching and I’ve been neck deep in revisiting the Halo series lately, which of course leads to falling in love with the soundtracks all over again.
