this weekend i went to the halo world championship and met jen taylor, steve downes, and martin o’donnell, and am so grateful to have been lucky enough to get their autographs and chat with them twice over the two days they were there. they’re so fucking sweet & kind, and hearing them say my name and hold actual conversations with me were the wildest things ever. i also happened to get a photo with the master chief in full armor— who was very much like 7’ tall lol. and of course pablo schreiber had a sweet message for all of the competitors and fans who attended. 🖤
chief and cortana played games with the crowd and no matter how full the audience was it all still felt very personal and they listened to us. it all feels like a fever dream and i can’t even believe this weekend happened. a couple of times i was dreading it being over just because i didn’t want to go back to the real world!
watching the tournament was amazing, (go optic!!) playing the game with a bunch of other fans was incredible, seeing the cosplay contest and admiring the work and effort so many fans put into their characters was amazing. shooting the Feedler was so cute (and kinda hard???) and shooting the unreleased nerf Needler was another dream come true (let’s go Kai-125). i am still in awe of just how many people are as halo obsessed as we are out there lol. and that was just in one place!
i am on cloud nine (congrats to cloud9 too!) and just wanted to share with my fellow halo fans because i feel like people in my world outside of here just don’t get it lol. that is all. 🥲

okay so even tho I was only in it for the Drops, I ended up actually getting into the Grand Finals, and holy shit that 50-49 Slayer match was the most insane thing I’ve ever seen
Went to the first day of the HCS World Finals today. Pretty good time, met some fun people
