i bruised my chest really badly yesterday hand-felting a pair of slippers because i did it leaning over the edge of the bathtub and now it hurts too much to wear a bra

but my slippers came out really cool, though, so that’s a plus

maybe i’ll post some pictures later, these slippers have literally been like, three years in the making

I love my job!

For those of you who don’t know, I am a Librarian.

And, that sometimes means I get to do Crafts!

Today’s craft was hand felting.

You take small pieces of wool, and you pile them up and up and up, and put a design on it.

I made two piles.

And then I put them back to back. And made a sandwich of them between the two white shelf liners, stuck the sandwich in a ziplock baggie, dumped soap and water in the baggie and..

RUBBED!

For about 10 mins!

When I took it out, rinsed and dried it, I was looking at it and realized the piece looked like an eye... with a spiral in it!

And here is the piece folded over... so you can see it’s the front and the back.

Now... what can I make with a felted spiral eye with NEEHU just around the corner?

Any ideas? It’s about the length of my hand and the width of my palm.

god i wish i had needles for needle felting, i really wanna put a pretty little design on my slippers so that i can keep the left slipper and the right slipper separate and have them conform to my feet over time

maybe i’ll indulge myself and buy a set off amazon today...
