Headcanons for your ocs as parents? Or at least the ones that want to be parents like Alder and Everett? (And feel free to throw in a slasher or two of ur choice! Especially if they’re kinda obscure and you want to write them c: ) ~ @nastyatticman
Thank you so much! Definitely gonna include a few obscure ones here too because they need some LOVE!
Obscure Slashers As Parents
John (He's Out There):
Doesn't really show much excitement to be a father, but it's there. He wants greatly to have a family of his own. Spends days away during the pregnancy getting things ready. He just wants to make sure things are perfect.
His child is likely to be as withdrawn and quiet as he is, which is just fine with John. In fact, he prefers it. He's a distant father, but not an uncaring one, and will spend hours just wandering the woods with them.
The child would be homeschooled, and John would ensure they learn his specific philosophy about the darkness inherent in the hearts of humanity.
Jack Riley (Basement Jack):
Jack is very nervous about being a father, his mother was horrible to him and left him with a lot of issues. He doesn't want his child to turn out like himself.
Warms up surprisingly fast to the idea and to his child. He's not the best father out there, but he gives his child the love, care, and understanding that he never received.
No longer kills during thunderstorms, instead he spends time with his child, huddled in the basement playing pretend. It makes them both feel safer.
Martin Mathias (Martin):
Incredibly worried about passing on his sickness. Martin has always dreaded making more like him. But when he sees that fluffy hair and sweet smile on his baby, he has no regrets.
His child knows nothing about Martin's “condition” and he wants to keep it that way. Martin is a loving, if awkward, father, and takes to it so well. He doesn't even realize at first that it's been months since he last fed, but he feels fine.
Very encouraging of his child, but also protective. He wants them to explore and make friends, but Martin knows that most relationships never last. Encourages his child to find ways to have fun by themselves too, just in case they're lonely like he used to be.
RJ Firefly (House of 1000 Corpses):
Honestly, Mother Firefly is more than likely going to raise this ones child. RJ is a proud father but he's out of the house more often than not.
Once they're old enough to really be fun to hang out, RJ warms up to them considerably. Teaches them everything he knows about everything, which means they're good with cars, guns, fighting, and not much else.
Any child born to a Firefly is going to be a bit warped (putting it mildly), but RJ's child is a unique type of feral little rascal. Let's hope the kid had a more down to earth mother to balance out the Firefly genes.
Jimmy (Hangman):
He's now stuck in one home and he's antsy at first about it. He's glad he has someone to love and raise a child with, but it still takes some getting used to.
A bit manipulative, invades their privacy often, and tricks his child into behaving how he wants them to sometimes. He stops when he realizes what he's doing, but it's a bad habit he sometimes falls into.
Very loving father though, he's always there to comfort them and make sure their life goes as they want. He knows the problems his child faces better than anyone.
Alder Darling:
Wants nothing more than to be a father, but is incapable of having biological children. Wants to adopt as many as he can.
A wonderful father. Literally there for them at all times, always puts them before himself, and encourages them to be happy. His only real downside is he can be a little clingy at times.
He takes to fatherhood perfectly and puts his past behind him. He never wants his children to go through what he did, nor does he want to burden them with the knowledge of his hard life.
Everett Byrd:
Also greatly wants to be a father. Once he actually does become a father, however, he's incredibly nervous. So many little things that could go wrong.
Tries to not be a helicopter parent, becomes one anyway. He just worries a lot about his little hatchlings and doesn't want anything bad to happen.
His kids likely pick up on some of his anxieties and have them as well, but for the most part they would turn out pretty well adjusted. He wouldn't let them know about his secret life until they were adults.
