homestuck fans love to talk about how cruel skaia/sburb/paradox space is and blame it for shit that lord english did. lord english shattered paradox space and bent it to his will he's the one forcing every character into their shitty fates HE is the main villain of the comic the main character the guy who was Already Here and skaia and paradox space is just another one of his victims. it is very innate to the tragedy of Homestuck that the kids were not allowed to play the game the way it was supposed to be played and that the trolls disregarded their quests in favor of speed-running without actually evolving as people and growing up. none of them even "rebelled against the game" lord english stole the game from them.
