This is an interesting episode even though it's not one of my faves (I had many nightmares with the angelmaker the first time I saw it xd) I like the contrast of the conversation Hannibal and Will have at the beginning. Hannibal basically tells Will that his job is taking its toll on him, that looking is bad for him, and Will asking Hannibal if he's trying to alienate him from Jack well...yes. Later on, (one if my favourite moments) Will yells at Jack and tells him to "come up with his own answers" sooo basically TO STOP PUSHING HIM. Will realises that he is having a hard time, at the end the explicitly tells Jack that he can't keep looking and Jack just. Says that if he quits then he's going to feel guilty about the murders. So all in all, I think it's an important episode to the development of 1. Will and Jack's work relationship. Will doesn't want to work anymore and Jack pushes him. 2. The rivalry between Jack and Hannibal. Both of them "fight" to be the one who Will listens to. and 3. Will's silly little mental problems. I think he kinda realises something when he sees the black stag statue in Hannibal's office. But it still means nothing to him.
