Me when the function's got a character with this hairstyle:
Translation:
Panel 2 (Swedish): "What a cute boy!"
Panel 3 (Danish): "Why are you staring at me like a cow at a red-painted gate? Are we going to have a damn Gundam fight or what?"
Panel 4 (Swedish): "Oh no, he's Danish."
I'm on a dinner date with Hans, what do I say? He's so cute and I'm nervous 😳💞

Hans Holger, my husbando (one of many) 💖
It's fun to imagine that while most Gundam Fighters have some dark secret or personal trauma they're working through, Hans Holger doesn't have anything like that. The worst things he's dealing with is that his Gundam is kind of old and busted, and his sister is dating a rival Fighter, and he seems to be taking both of these things in stride, not being particularly bothered by them.
I'd like to think that Hans is the embodiment of the Danish concept of hygge: He's just a nice, social, friendly, open-minded and generally cozy dude, always willing to give you a hug, a shoulder to cry on, or a few motivational words. Or a sparring match with giant robots, if that's your thing.
