As Hanwool lost consciousness, his eyes closed, not feeling the heat from the fire anymore.
‘So this is how it ends, huh?’ he thought. When he opened his eyes again, everything was so bright, too bright that he thought he was in heaven.
He then stood up. All the wounds were gone.
"Seems like you have been through a lot."
Turning around to where that clear voice came from, his legs shook, but not so long before they fell to the ground. Tears ran down his face.
‘Am I dreaming? No...I'm dead already, but why is she-'
"Why the long face?" The person in front of him asked with the sweetest smile while his lip quivered.
Hanwool tried his best to control his own voice. After a long pause, he finally said, "long time no see...I..." he trembled. "I have missed you, mom."
She smiled. "I have missed you too, my son." If this was a dream, he would never wake up, never.
"But you shouldn't be here."
"Why...you are here too. I'm not leaving. I'm going to stay with you."
"Why? D...Do you hate me? I know I have done a lot of bad things but please-"
"It's not like that, Hanwool." She interrupted. "Where is Hansol?"
He almost forgot about his little sister. "Hansol is..."
'No way.' Hyeongyeon is going to look after her forever. He would never trust that bastard.
He could feel the warmth from his mother's hand on his left cheek. He missed it so much and would never let it go again but...
"I love you so much, my son. But it's not your time yet."
She bent over and kissed his forehead. "Take care of your sis well."
Then everything went blank. That's all he could remember.
