happy first day of fall !

from the winchesters......༄˖°🍂࿔*:･

pumpkin picking ༄｡🎃° dragging sam and dean along with you to a pumpkin patch, leaves crunching under dean's biker boots, sam's carhartt worn heavy on your shoulders.

"hey, what about this one?" and dean holds up the most crooked looking pumpkin you've ever seen.

it's perfect.

baking apple pie ༄｡🥧° countertops dusty with flour, aprons covered in a thick, caramel-y paste. the bunker's kitchen smells like cinnamon and apples, warm and comforting.

"it has to be exactly two teaspoons of ground cinnamon," sam insists, and when you eyeball the measurements he freaks, "what if it's too much?"

dean's working on a lopsided lattice over the pie tray, and you're certain you hear him mumble, "the only way i'll ever eat apples."

scary movies ༄｡🧦° making fun of the way movie characters handle ghosts, curled up on the couch with fuzzy socks and one of sam's flannels to keep snug.

"all they need is some salt," dean says, nursing a beer. "idiots."

you giggle and nestle into sam's side, feeling his warm hand splayed over the dip in your waist.

chilly weather ༄｡🍂° a cozy scarf wrapped around your neck, a hot coffee warming your hands as you walk through a small town on a case, the boys' in their large, fbi-style coats, interrogating witnesses under autumn-colored trees.

"so what can you tell us about some of the local history here?" sam will ask, voice sweet like maple syrup to the local librarian, "please, it'll only take a moment."

you and dean give each other a look. the 'sammy's totally flashing his puppy dog eyes' look while a chilliness nips at your nose from an open window.

notes: yayyyy i love fall SO MUCH and i'm so excited to (hopefully) get back into writing more frequently !! for now, enjoy whatever this is, and happy fall !

p.s. (made some cinnamon sugar crescent rolls & watched practical magic today to celebrate and oh em geeeee the -ber months love to see me coming)
