it was late at night, as usual. the infamous kim heechul was casually lying down on his bed, playing a new arcade game he just recently installed in his phone.

gibok lied beside him, sleeping peacefully as colorful curse words flowed effortlessly outside his owner’s mouth.

the singer/variety show genius was bothered lately and he didn’t know why. it felt weird. he kept feeling like he was forgetting things, but being meticulous and tidy, he seems to have everything in check even when he’s rushing to go to a shooting set.

nevertheless, the singer continued to relieve his stress by angrily tapping on his phone, dodging zombies as his character tried to survive the game.

— meanwhile, outside his apartment—

“you know the password, punch it in already!” hyukjae whispered to donghui, who stood in front of heechul’s door.

the 8 remaining members of super junior stood in front of kim heechul’s apartment, bringing a variety of goodies such as soju and other meals suitable for the occasion.

as usual, the hyungs brought both food and drinks while the maknaes brought out the decorations. a cute “happy birthday” streamer was held by kyuhyun and balloons spelling “heenim hyung” was brought by siwon and ryeowook.

“god if he charges at us with a knife just know i will not hesitate to yeet myself outta this apartment floor” donghui mutters as he punches in heechul’s apartment code.

the beep signifies their entrance, but the gamer-singer was already too immersed in his game to notice his members shuffling around his apartment, keeping everything quiet and clean to not upset the madman.

the maknaes set to work and the hyungs have prepared the table and the dining room because honestly heechul’s so tidy its no doubt he will throw hands when there is unintentional mess. oof.

meanwhile, heechul had the sudden urge to pee, so, pausing his game, he puts on his slippers and goes outside, only to be greeted by 8 other crazy people who greeted him a happy birthday.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEECHUL HYUNG!!!” they all greeted, clapping and cheering.

“im changing my apartment password after this.” he stated. “also, its not my birthday.”

“its definitely your birthday.” kyuhyun says, popping open a soju bottle.

“give me a calendar. its not and i will prove it to— oh.” heechul says as donghae pulls out his phone to show the exact time and date.

“july 10, 2020, 00:00”

“nevermind. happy birthday to me.” heechul says, dumbfounded.

a moment of silence passed by until jungsoo decided to cheer, his MC disease taking over again.

everyone else followed his cheer as they all celebrated, the cheering continues after they all came around and gave each other hugs and nice, warm greetings.

“see, hyung, heechul hyung didn’t charge at us with a knife.” hyukjae whispers to donghui as they all sat down to eat.

“not now, but if one of you stains my couch i might chase you all down with a knife.” heechul says as he grabs a slice of cake, maneuvering his way over to the couch and plops down.

“no but seriously.” heechul says after a quiet moment, chewing his cake quietly.

“thank you for visiting.” he finishes, eyes cast down on his plate. the rest of the members all smiled, gathering around their second hyung, giving him a sweet group hug.
