Halo 2020. Mari meraih mimpi yang sempat tertunda di tahun 2019. Bismillah.
Day 17 #100daysofproductivity
husband and kid wanted mexican food :) #lovemyfamily
cas hates the electric cooktop that came with their new house(:
jack wanting sugary cereal for all his meals and cas not being able to say no to him because he's a softie dad to a fault and dean putting his foot down because that ain't food food so he cooks more often but then he wants to vary the menu a little but his kitchen creativity isn't always reliable so somehow after lots of web browsing he ends up downloading pinterest on his phone and he makes a LOT of recipe boards and sam teases him saying who's the health freak now jerk but dean doesn't care because last week he learned how to make pasta from scratch and tonight's dessert has got frigging zucchini in it and jack won't even notice
pov jack: you're 3 years old, your dads are getting married tomorrow and you're rehearsing in the garden with a basket full of petals because it's a very important job and you want everything to be perfect.
dean KNOWS how to cook from scratch, he enjoys the whole process, cutting and slicing and kneading and chopping and stirring and moving pots and pans, and baking just about anything that can be baked. obviously the instant pot, for easy meals, is mostly used by cas. dean gives him recipes and instructions, and they always turn out great. cas is very happy he can cook for dean now, and dean is extremely proud of his husband. it's also the only kitchen appliance (apart from the fridge) that jack's allowed to touch.
i just think they should've let jack be a baby for a little while because dean would've find comfort taking care of him while grieving and then when cas came back and they were in the bunker dean would've gathered this tiny lump of blankets, cradling it gently, and gestured for cas to come over, and cas would've walked towards them slowly, afraid of disrupting the moment while taking in the heartwarming vision that was dean, then he would've looked over dean's shoulder and stared fascinated at jack's sleepy face, all pink cheeks and pouty lips. he wouldn't notice dean looking at him with eyes full of love and relief and gratefulness, eyes so soft a tear fell on jack's forehead. cas would pose a silent question, trying to discern dean's emotions. and dean would answer, in a voice as small and fragile as the baby in his arms, 'i'm so glad you're back, cas. i couldn't do this without you' and this... this would mean everything really. especially this baby, this powerful creature contained in a chubby infant who wakes up crying at ungodly hours, needs constant supervision and is a goddamn miracle. this baby that is theirs, from this day to forevermore. they would be good parents to jack, maybe they'd build a loving home where both of them could fit in too. 'i'm glad to have come back to you, dean. to both of you.'
