okay so having now finished 1x07 I have to ask what would tommy have done if eva had tried to go after colin, if she hadn't just taken his word for it, how far would he go jeopardizing himself to protect him? or is he protecting himself? chinhands.
i feel like he would’ve continued to try and talk her out of it, maybe even taken hold of her arm or smth to stop her from going anywhere until she’s heard him out. (which she wouldn’t appreciate, let’s be honest.) and after that inevitably fell thru (bc it’s sketchy as hell thomas!) colin’s just gettin fuckin caught, y’all. he made his bed, he’s a big boy, tommy can’t protect him forever. he likely wouldn’t have, like, detained colin himself tho, he probably would’ve tried to remain somewhat... on the sidelines for once? i guess? i don’t think he’s prepared to ‘betray’ his family like that unless it’s absolutely necessary for whatever reason.
when it comes down to it, if he knows a member of his family’s involved with something, he keeps that information to himself. but if they get themselves caught (provided it’s for something they’ve, you know, actually done) then tommy’s prepared to let the lesson teach itself.
