Carlos gave birth and raised all those children alone and now he can’t stay with them 😩
hey anon I got inspired to do this 😅
The air in Spain is warm. Not the kind that sticks to your skin, but in that weirdly cool way it makes you feel like you can conquer everything.
Martin Alcaraz plays with the clay in Pista Carlos Alcaraz. A court named for his father. He kicks playfully, not knowing the weight the surface carries. For 7-year-old Martin, it's just a red thing on the ground, something that stains his shoes.
He's seen his Tio glide on it, multiple times actually. Tio Jaime absolutely loves clay. It's the reason why he's there, not to hit those yellow balls but to just tag along. For his young age, his attention span is awfully limited, hence why Jaime brought him to the academy.
Later when they got home, Carlos fussed nonstop—gently combing through little Martin's golden locks.
Somewhere in Italy, Rafa Sinner is glued to the television screen, watching a football match while grabbing biscuits from the bowl placed beside him. He follows the players with his eyes, dreaming of meeting them one day—maybe when he's big enough as what his father said.
Outside the house, winter has begun. Sidewalks damp with cold air seeping into the street. The faint sound of neighbors giggling as they build a snowman of some sort.
Jannik steps out of the kitchen, mug in hand. He sat beside little Rafa, a move he's done for years. He hands the cup of hot chocolate which contains some marshmallow to make the drink look fun—if it excites the kids, Rafa would too. He's seven, after all.
Separated by countries now are brothers who were once raised together before the fall out—huge enough to grow up in different countries.
