Notes:

1. I always provide soft subbed mkv files for any videos I work on. So please DO NOT absolutely remove the credits from the subtitle files in case you are sharing anywhere else.

2. If you pick the Soft subs file, please download the file first and play it using VLC Player or MPC-HC or Windows Media Player on your PC. Playing it on google drive won’t show the subtitles as google drive doesn’t seem to recognize the soft subs in the file.

3. If you pick the Hard Subs file, you can also watch it on google drive in case you don’t wish to download.

I send a big thanks to gravitydefyingtears eyes for her valuable translations. Subbing these cute extras absolutely wouldn’t have been possible without her help. I enjoyed subbing all three extras. I’ve subbed a lot of Japanese anime episodes now and can figure out many words too, but this is the first time I’ve subbed a Chinese audio show. And what better way than to start with this epic Mo Dao Zu Shi Audio Drama!! >v< In case any of you find any errors in timing the sentences to the sentences said in the audio, please do let me know. I’d be very happy to rectify them.

For future work, I can only say, if anyone can offer raw audio files for any extras of this show that you feel you want to have subbed right away and if there are TL scripts available, I’ll be very very happy to sub them.

Mo Dao Zu Shi Audio Drama S2 Extras Lady of the Flower Patch and Chinese New Year Greeting

Hello everyone! :D

I have two more extras for all today.

The first one “Lady of the Flower Patch” is the same as “Flower Damsel” released by kittykat2010. I’m just releasing this one since I had requested translation of this some time ago and wish to honour the translators hard work.

The second extra is Chinese New Year’s Greetings- it’s a little late, but we can still wish a belated New Year to all Chinese friends ;)

Some important things to take note:

Subbing is a very tedious process, especially when you’re not familiar with the process. But it gets easier once you practice enough. 

Choose the right video resolution. High resolution videos might sound appealing, but only choose this option if you’re prepared to wait. (Encoding time for HD/HQ videos can stretch over HOURS, cause your computer to lag and heat up) 

Cut your video into parts! It takes VERY long to encode long videos, you can always merge your videos later if you want the video in one file. 

How long does it take to encode? 

It depends on your video resolution and length, as well as your computer CPU. A SD video thats around 20 minutes long takes around 20 minutes on my Macbook air, while shorter, low resolution videos can take as little as 5 minutes. Long HD videos may stretch over 7 hours, beware!
