I Hope You Like Prada
I spent my days reciting poetry - Rewriting prose in hopes that we Could pick a road besides the one that we were on. And yeah, you know I did that knowingly - Despite what you were showing me. But now, I know you know we should be moving on... We gave it time - it gave us space. I gave it me - you took that faith, And played your games. You changed the rules, like every day-ay-ay. I gave you chances you could waste - You gave me nothing to save face, Or to replace the parts of me you took away... I held my heart out in my hands for you - you took it... Mistook the kindness that I showed you for being stupi-id... And yeah, I gave you what was mine. You went and stabbed me from behind. I saw an angel, 'cause you try so hard to look it. I wanted for it to be true - 'Cause I wanted to be with you. The truth was right in front of me - I overlooked it! You're the devil in disgui-i-ise... Yeah-eah - you're the devil in disguise...
Dissolve // Being as an Ocean
Sort of feels like every day it’s harder to stay happy where you are, when there are all these ways to look through the fence, into your neighbors yard. Why even risk it? It’s safer to stay distant when it’s so hard now to just be content, because there’s always something else.
