tell us more about Harper interlude for mfb?

Sure! So for context, MFB is set up as an extremely long series with multiple connected spinoffs and oneshots. We're only in act one/book two of the main series. This interlude goes in between acts two and three. Without getting into too many spoilers for upcoming plot points, Harper and Rose are processing/grieving together. They're very soft. Well, as soft as Rose gets.

First line:

Harper cuts Rose's hair with only the soft glow of the reflected streetlights against the mirror for light.

And a longer snippet:

Harper's clippers stop moving too soon. They've been cutting their own and Cullen's hair for years. Rose's twitchiness isn't about to slow them down.

Rose expects Harper to pull away now that they don't have a reason to keep touching her. Instead, they stroke her shorn head gently and press a kiss to her temples.

“It's okay, baby,” they whisper. “I got you.”
