tomorrow never knows || harrison & isabelle
"Thank you and come back soon" Isabelle waved at the satisfied customer. Everyday she got forty-five minutes for tea, she would either spend it at the Four Diamonds or she would get something from the bakery and eat it on a nearby bench, everyday she would come back to the shop to find Harrison working on another hat or making a sale. Today she had come back to a closed shop, she carried keys with her for those times when she was in charge of opening and closing, so she unlocked the shop, flipped the sign and got behind the counter.
The customer left the shop and the chimer of the doorbell signaled the third sale she had completed since returning from tea, there was still no sign of Harrison. Isabelle let out a sigh, she was doing it more than usual, she wondered if her boss had noticed her sudden change in behavior, she had been thinking about telling him about the source of it. She wasn't sure how he will react, but she needed someone to talk about it, she was fairly good at keeping things inside, but sometimes they could end up consuming you, besides Harrison had always been there for her, maybe he would have some advice on the matter.
Belle checked her reflection on the long mirror, Harrison had insisted that a head level mirror would suffice but she had pushed her argument about people wanting to get a feel of how a fine hat complemented their outfits. A sudden urge of twirl took over her, she didn't understand what was happening to her, instead she just took a step closer and looked at her face, if her boss had noticed the slight changes in her appearance he hadn't mentioned at all, she had even started to add some color to her lips, as previous fan of a natural look she felt as if she was betraying herself.
The hands knotting the sides of her skirt relaxed, Isabelle hadn't notice she had been doing it, she quickly smoothed the fabric and walked to the counter. She leaned against it and rubbed her eyes, "This is crazy, I'm going crazy" she whispered.
