OTP!I love love love this ship and I didn’t even consider it until I rewatched Goblet of Fire. It’s the only Harry Potter ship I’m actively animated and excited about, no matter how long it is between discussions. It’s just so cute and sweet and of course, tragic.

Any headcanons about how Cedric and Harry interact when they attend the ball? =3

Omg! Let me think!

I definitely think it made an impression. For several reasons! First of all, no one’s seen Harry with a guy (and while there’s been talk of Cedric’s on-and-offs with male classmates wasn’t he dating Cho??) More than that though, the current competitor and the “cheater” are there together and at first I’m sure everyone thinks they just arrived together but Cedric’s like “no, he’s my date” and Harry’s answer is generally “Um, yeah…we’re together. Together-together.”

Eventually they fade from the immediate spotlight (thank you, Hermione) and both are able to loosen up. Don’t get me wrong, both are still nervous–although for Cedric, it’s more internal–but as the night goes on they start genuinely enjoying one another’s company. Cedric’s determined to at least try shaking off this negativity surrounding Harry.

Dancing is a little awkward but don’t think for a second they avoid it all night. One of the few genuine moments between them before everything goes south. They both start to think “maybe this could work.”

Of course…we know how it ends 3
