Nyctanthes arbor-tristis, the night-flowering jasmine ,coral Jasmine or parijat, is a species of Nyctan. The name Nyctanthes means “Night Flowering” . The flower grows in the night dies during the day and has a strong and soothing fragrance. This flower is the official flower of the state of West Bengal, India, which is also known as Parijat and Siuli in local West Bengal region in India. It is called Gangaseuli and Jharaa sephali in Odisha, India.
