We have met pretty cool people since we set sail into the world of connecting collaborators, Rj-style. One of them is Arturo Gonzalez Jr, owner of hART Lounge in San Diego, California. We are happy to have AGJ on our crew as one of the 1st Rockajoint Ambassadors to host
RJ Global Meetups. Here is what he has to say about collaboration.
Rj: What fascinates you and what are your passions?
AGJ: People fascinate me. Art and business are my passions, hence hART lounge.
Rj: Tell us about some exceptional skills you possess?
AGJ: Leadership & Business skills.
Rj: How would you describe your work?
AGJ: My work is multi-faceted. It’s part office job, part customer service and part creative and inspiring.
Rj: What do you hope to accomplish with your work at hART Lounge?
AGJ: hART’s mission has always been focused on creating a space for people in the community to meet up and be inspired, to be creative and start new projects both business or artistic.
Rj: What do you need in order to get the results you are working for?
AGJ: Rockajoint [global] meetups offers hART exactly what we are looking for. It’s a wonderful platform to keep meeting creative people who possess different skills and are willing to work together on creating something new, whether it be a product, a service or something artistic.
Collaboration
Rj: Do you consider yourself a collaborator?
If so, what do you value in teamwork?
AGJ: I do consider myself a collaborator and I offer my business, hART lounge, as a place for people to come and work together. Bring your ideas and we’ll work together on making them happen. One person may have a good idea but you need a team to turn that idea into reality.
RJ: Based on your experiences, what are major challenges in collaborative processes? How do you deal with these issues?
AGJ: The major challenge is basically too many people with different ideas often leads to not agreeing on anything, and the projects don’t take off. You need good leadership, that sets goals and works hard to push an idea through by reaching a consensus; you need a well defined leadership to actually get the job done.
