Xavier was getting sick of him. As a young boy - so impressionable and naive - Ignacio Cardenas was practically God. Every step was worshipped, every decision was supported - everything the older man did was basically studied. Ignacio could do nothing wrong. Now? Xavier couldn't stop the images of his father's nearly headless frame draining blood on top of his desk - done by Xavier's hand. That was how much he hated his father.
Originally the plan was to wait for Ignacio to keel over - eventually passing so Xavier could take his rightful spot on the throne … it seemed the older man planned to live forever, keeping the crown. Though his reign was timeless, he wasn't. And Xavier would see to prove that.
Arriving at the spot Eva had instructed, Xavier swung a leg over his bike and removed his helmet. "Ahora, si. I'm here." The two realized the shared hate for their own fathers and clicked instantaneously. They'd exchange gruesome fantasies on how they'd get rid of their fathers, stepping into the leader role once the deed was done. But they were just stories … until …
"Are we safe here?" Xavier's eyes scanned their surroundings finding no other soul. She had suggested meeting at an abandoned warehouse. He assumed it was one of her father's properties where he'd conduct … gory business.
