I have so much art hung all over the house and for some reason my bedroom walls have mostly been just plain white walls for several years now. A lot of the art in my house is old medical charts, textiles, paintings, photos, prints and drawings etc.. and most of the art (maybe all of it) is on the darker, more serious, (a friend recently remarked "melancholy") side in either content, aesthetically or both. Last night I finally broke the trend and acquired and hung this beautiful mixed-media, vibrant, radiant, dynamic, joyful, exuberant and so bright and colorful piece in my bedroom by @k8klingbeil. I first saw it last year and ever since then it I would think about it often. Finally I pulled the trigger and what a wonderful thing to wake up to this morning (well maybe early afternoon...) as it's just at the foot of the bed by the window where the early morning sun comes in. ✨💗✨ it's an astounding work of art and I highly recommend checking out Kate's work, which is incredibly, diverse, sophisticated, beautiful, and inspiring. kateklingbeil.com. I'll #regram a professional photo of this piece next as it's hard to see the insane amount of work and power of it here in the background of this photo. (Note: BTW, Kate is enjoying one of my favorite books which is a collection of intense erotic drawings by Japanese artist #harukawanamio published by one of my favorite publishers #uniteddeadartists who are in France which is run by another very skilled and prolific artist #stephaneblanquet.) #vibrantjoyfulcolorfulbrightarttherapy!
