Yep, I'm fine! *links arms with Haru* Let's go! I'm thinking maybe we should get noodles and vegetables for now... maybe we should get meat?

Haru nods in agreement, realizing that all of the food you listed sound good about now despite them not being mackerel. 

“Looks like we know what we’re getting, which is good,” Makoto comments and the three of you soon find yourselves now in the grocery store.

It doesn’t take very long before you’ve gathered all the ingredients previously listed, and the three of you end up paying for the food at the counter.

“Are the two of you a couple?” the kind-looking old lady at the counter asks you and Haru as she rings up your food. “You two look so sweet together.”

Yep! I've got everything I need... well then, shall we leave? *walks to Haru's house* Say Haru, do you have anything other than mackerel and pineapple at your house? Or should we buy some ingredients?

“The last time I checked, that basically was all he had in his fridge,” Makoto answers for his mostly silent friend. “I think it would be a good idea if we stop by the grocery store before we make it to his house. What do you say Haru?” 

All it takes is a simple look between the two of them and Makoto knows it’s fine with him. “Are you alright if we go, Josephine?” the green-eyed boy asks you as well, not wanting to drag you someplace you may not want to go to.

*grins happily* Makoto, you can come too and help us make something! You're free anyway, right? Hold on, just wait for me to get my bag! I'll be right back! *runs across the pool deck and into the changing room*

“Yeah, I am free, actually,” a kind smile graces his features, “A-Ah! And be careful about running around the pool!” he calls out to you worriedly.

When you come back, you find the two boys chatting about you…well, it’s mostly Makoto doing the talking while Haru nods and stays silent.

“You ready to go now? I hope you didn’t leave anything behind,” Makoto says.

*sighs* Haru, really, I know you're perfectly healthy, but you are pretty sickly most of the time... you make me want to feed you. This may sound stupid, but I really do want to make you something- that still has mackerel- with more than rice, plums, and pineapple... will you please consider it? It's almost as if you're neglecting yourself and your health and focusing on swimming all of the time...

“Haru, she’s right you know,” Makoto looks worriedly over at his friend, who seems to be staring off at nothing in particular as he mulls your suggestion over.

“I’m not sickly, but I guess I can let you make me meals every now and then,” he reluctantly replies. Even if it meant eating less mackerel, if it made you happier to see that he was eating well he was willing to give some of his servings up.

“I guess if you want to make me something, you can come over to my house today.”

*sighs* I thought so... Hey, Makoto! Come over here for a sec! Has Haru EVER eaten anything other than mackerel and rice? Pineapple doesn't count, I'm talking veggies or some nuts or something... How is he getting all of his nutrients?

Makoto joins the two of you after he emerges from the locker room, and he ponders over your question, his chin between his index finger and thumb. “Uh…now that I think about it, he does only eat mackerel…except for the days that my mom makes him something to eat,” he replies. 

“I eat rice and plums,” Haru adds nonchalantly, trying to make a point that no, he doesn’t eat mackerel all the time…just most of the time.

Oof! Haru, what are you? ... oh, did I fall asleep? Haha, sorry. But why did you poke my cheek? Also, you should eat more, even Nagisa-kun is heavier than you, and he's a lot shorter than you. I mean, he looks like a 5th grader! From now on, I'm going to be making sure you eat more than mackerel and rice. Maybe some veggies... I'll bring something tomorrow for you to eat, okay?

“S-Sorry,” the swimmer manages to push himself off of you and he rubs the part of his arm that collided with the bench during his fall. It was a little red, but other than that it didn’t hurt too much. What Haru was more concerned about was the fact that you were commenting on his weight, which he never thought was a problem. Mackerel and rice are the best foods in the world…He’s not sure if he’d be willing to eat anything other than that for lunch.

After giving you a shake of his head, Haru’d gaze is serious as he stares into your eyes. “I only eat mackerel and rice,” he responds simply, adament on having that and only that…even if you insisited otherwise.

I am really happy that you're glad about us dating Kou... but stalking us was a bit much, don't you think? Just kidding, it was funny, especially since Haru looked so distressed... I don't think he was actually worried though! *laughs as Haru jumps into the pool* Oh Haru... you're so cute... *watches him during the rest of practice, but falls asleep sitting on the bench*

When practice comes to an end and after reluctantly climbing out of the pool, Haru realizes that you have fallen asleep sitting on the bench. Quietly, he makes his way over to you and leans down. With a gentle touch, he pokes your cheek, and at the same time he doesn't realize how close his face is to your own. When he notices your eyes start to open up, he backs up a little but the puddle of water that accumilated at his feet while standing there causes him to slip. Not letting out a sound and slightly widening his eyes in surprise, Haru ends up falling into you.

KOU! Stop! You're so embarrassing... Did all of you guys plan this? And of course Haru will treat me right, he's nothing but polite and courteous. Unlike some people *cough you guys cough*

“Hey, don’t say that~” Gou pouts a little at that. “I can be polite and courteous too~ Is it so bad that we’re happy for you and Haruka-senpai?”

Meanwhile, to get away from the boys pestering him, Haru dives into the pool and swims to the other end farthest away from the boys.

“Awww, Haru-chan,” Nagisa whines with a similar pout to Gou’s. “We’re just trying to congratulate youuuu…”

“Typical Haru,” Makoto sheepishly laughs.

“Okay, may as well get these boys back to practice. Congratulations, Josephine,” Gou says one last time before she blows her whistle and starts to instruct the boys for the day.
