Kakashi frowned for a moment, trying to hide his momentary surprise before he managed to sink against the wall. The Kage monthly banquet brimming with Lord’s from each country, each Kage of course and their subordinates and this year the Third had invited Kakashi. “A little party? I’m sorry, but are you even old enough to drink?”
“..Has one of the Fire Lords lost a child again..” he mumbled to himself.
The Kage of Iwagakure, Onoki, had a soft spot for the reckless blond. Disregarding Deidara’s explosive personality, the old man would continuously invite him to these fancy shindigs. Deidara didn’t think too much of the gesture, except the fact it was a chance to get absolutely plastered. He didn’t want to dress up for it, the only reason he’s even wearing a nice shirt is because Kurotsuchi forced it on him. It was apparent he didn’t know how to rock it because within the few hours he’d been in it there were already clay stains in various places.
Kakashi caught his attention, he decided to entertain the idea of conversing with another person instead of sitting there fantasizing on instances where he could destroy everyones fun. The way Kakashi isolated himself from others was relatable for the clueless blond-- who didn’t know what to do but drink and eat at these events. “Live a little would ya?” he said then took a swig of sake.
