Last-Minute Biology Project
That moment when you have a friend who can eat people, and you got a biology project due the next day.
You let out a sigh of relief as Chelsea let you into her house. “What is it? You know my parents don’t like people coming over after dinner, especially on a school night.”
“I uh...” you said nervously, shifting your backpack. “Have a favor to ask of you. I have a project due tomorrow.”
“Oh, okay. Sure, how can I help?” Chelsea said cheerily. “Friend’s over to do homework, that okay?” she shouted down the hall to her parents.
“As long as it’s homework, sure!” her dad called back as she led you to her bedroom, turning on the light and giving you a good look of her My Chemical Romance poster.
She turned to you. “So, what do you need help with? What class?” she said as she went to her backpack, taking out her binder, taking out a cup full of colored pens.
“It’s a biology project,” Chelsea’s eyes narrowed at that. “It’s due tomorrow.” You set your backpack down next to her bed and took out a glass vial with a weird liquid.
“And what’s it about?” Chelsea asked, staring at the vial. “Is it about the digestive system?” You nodded mutely, and she sighed. “What’s the vial for?”
“It’s something that’ll keep me safe,” you said. “I’m not entirely sure how, but it’s posted in a ‘Top 5 Useful Tips and Tricks for Vore’ article.”
“Great, we’re trusting the internet with your life,” Chelsea sighed. “Okay, fine. We can deal with this.”
“I’m sorry, if you don’t-”
“No, I can handle it,” Chelsea interrupted you. “I’m... touched that you trust me enough for this,” she smiled weakly. “Grab something acid-proof to take notes on, and we’ll get it over with.”
You grabbed your phone, which you had once almost dissolved because you dropped it in chemistry class while trying to take a picture of a cool chemical reaction, and you knew it could handle it. You chugged the liquid, and it tasted kinda like a spinach smoothie. Weird. “Alright, I’m ready,” you nodded, stepping closer to her.
You felt her breath wash over you as your head entered her warm, damp mouth, and she tilted her head back, using her tongue to help pull you down into her very tight esophagus, the squishy walls clutching at you from all around as you slid down, trying to shift yourself so you didn’t get a face full of stomach acid when you landed in her stomach.
You failed, but luckily you shut your mouth, and you twisted around to get your head out of it as quickly as possible, turning on your phone. It’s light blinded you for a moment, before illuminating the cramped stomach and its soft, shifting walls. You opened up a text document and started typing in notes, wondering if you should just make your project a text-based journey through the digestive system. You doubted anyone else would do that particular thing, since no one else would be stupid enough to actually try this.
The stomach walls around you shifted and twisted, almost making you drop your phone. “Sorry, just getting into bed so I can work on my homework and be comfy,” Chelsea said, her voice muffled.
“It’s okay,” you said, noticing you could feel a weird pulsing sensation behind you, and realized it was her heartbeat. “I’m not getting digested, don’t... oh.“ You paused as you noticed your leg sinking a lot more into the stomach acid than it should. You couldn’t feel anything, it was like it was asleep.
“Oh? OH!?” Chelsea said, her heart speeding up. “Are you okay!?”
“Yeah, lemme just...” you pulled up the page of the potion as you felt yourself sinking more into the acid. “Okay, so I will actually be digested, just painlessly and then I’ll reform once I get out. I’ll stay conscious, and be at least partially together, so I can still take notes.” You realized you should have fully read the reviews before taking the potion.
“Oh, I panicked for a second,” Chelsea chuckled, her heart rate slowing slightly. A loud gurgle came from the stomach walls surrounding you, and then it squirmed nervously. She was probably embarrassed at how loud her stomach was being.
You were quickly typing stuff into your phone as you lost feeling in your lower torso, having to hold your arms up so your elbows didn’t start getting digested. “Probably won’t be able to talk for much longer, so I hope this goes well, see you on the other side!” you say quickly.
“Good luck, hope it works!” Chelsea said nervously, and you sank fully into the acid, somehow still able to see and touch your phone. You entered a more cramped and tight tube, probably the small intestines, typing in your experience. You saw a weird goopy soup surrounding you, and figured it was your body.
“So weird,” you heard Chelsea, though it was very hard to hear her, as she was very muffled. “I barely have a bulge from you now.”
After what felt like hours, you felt the tube widen, and realized you were in the large intestine. You were almost out!
“Oh crud, I gotta go to the bathroom now,” Chelsea said, feeling shifting as she got up and hurried somewhere. You felt something wavering, and hoped it wasn’t the potion wearing off, not yet, and it all went to black.
You opened your eyes, then closed them from the brightness, feeling the hard tile beneath you and sitting up, rubbing your eyes as you sat up.
“Oh good, you’re okay,” Chelsea let out a sigh of relief. “That was... horrifying to watch,” she chuckled nervously. She handed you your phone, but you clumsily dropped it onto your lap, your fingers not yet functioning. But you managed to turn on your phone, and there were your notes.
“Alright, what was so horrifying to watch, though?” you asked, standing up shakily and putting your phone in your pocket.
“You... coming out and turning back into your normal body. It was...” Chelsea shook her head. “Hard to describe.”
A knock came from the door. “Chelsea? You okay?” her dad’s voice came through.
“Yes, we’re okay! My friend is just kinda sick, they puked, and should go now,” Chelsea said, pushing you to the door and opening it.
“Did you two finish your homework?” he asked, letting you past him.
“Yes, sir,” you nodded as you squeezed past. “Thank you, see you tomorrow Chel!” you called as you grabbed your backpack and hurried outside to go home.
You got a B+ on the project, which was pretty good for being done at basically the last minute. Your teacher was kinda disturbed at how personally and accurately you described the experience.
