Hauata Family Rotation 4:

Keola Hauata Talla took Morgan Fyres on a date to share the big news. They met at a beach by sunset, and after kissing her, he shared that he's going to be graduating high school early. Morgan was super excited for him!

He shared his next plans excitedly.

"Morgan, I'm going to go to university! I probably won't move away, though, since I'm still a teenager after all. But I'm going to become a conservationist to help protect these islands."

Morgan smiled and said,

"Wow, what a surprise! As if there was any other option for you!"

He kissed her before sitting down to talk a bit more seriously.

Keola took her hands in his and said,

"Morgan, one day... I'd love for you to join me here. In Sulani. I mean, there's lots of benefits. The food here is pretty great, after all."

Morgan laughed, but grew a bit more serious.

"I mean, as much as I'd want to, I don't think I can promise that... We're both still so young. Your life has been set for you since birth, but I still have no idea where life is going to take me. I'd love for it to take me here to you, but..."

Keola stood up and held her hands again.

"It's okay, Morgan. It's a big ask. As much as I love you... It's for the best that we focus on ourselves for awhile. I don't want to hold you back. "

He kissed her hands, then said,

But... You always have a place here, if you want it."

He took her face in his hands, looked in her eyes and said,

"I love you, Morgan Fyres. My soulmate."

He hugged her, whispering,

"May the ancestors guide you back to me."

They kissed, and as Morgan walked off, she said,

"I think they will."

...and with that, the Hauata family rotation comes to an end!

Hauata Family Rotation 4:

Duane Talla has a habit of staying up pretty late, but that's when all the good fish are out! They went down to the bar for some drinks, and spent some time catching up with Lilliana and Leila. They love to joke around with Leila, and had a fun time chatting that night.

The next day was family day, and it was super fun to spend some time during the day splashing around with everyone in the water. They put out a little swingset in the water that the kids (and Keola Hauata Talla) played on. Keola loves playing games with the kids on the island, and they love to play with him too!

After heading home from the family day, Keola attempted to connect with the island's ancestors again. Even though he's been working so hard to maintain the cultural expectations of an island leader, the ancestors still weren't pleased yet. While the community has been growing more connected, the island needs more help.

Keola is committed to his role, and took the advice of his ancestors to continue his work. He traveled to the more remote islands, only to find litter, trash, and hazards everywhere! This is going to take a lot more effort...

All this work, yet things still aren't quite handled. Being a teenager with all this responsibility is rough!

However, some things are looking up... Keola managed to do so well on his exams that he can graduate early! While he'll be able to move on to continue focusing on improving Sulani, there's just one problem... What will happen with Morgan?

Hauata Family Rotation 4:

Even though Keola Hauata Talla has to put in effort to keep his island's cultural events going, he's got more work to do! This weekend is prom, and in the middle of all his responsibilities, he never officially invited Morgan to prom! But of course, he showed up to a pre-prom party and very smoothly made it known that he would see her there as his date.

Last prom was a bit of a disaster for Keola, because Sidney Price had also been flirting with Morgan. They had a bit of a love triangle going on, but ultimately, Morgan and Keola stayed together through it all. Tonight was much smoother, and they spent the whole night dancing and enjoying themselves.

Sidney won prom royalty at the end, though, it didn't matter. Keola returned home after prom, with Lia Hauata proud to see their boy growing up so fast.

Hauata Family Rotation 4:

Keola Hauata Talla has been working hard to invite all of the island to the cultural events and make sure they turn out well. The last time he was able to connect with the island's ancestors, they weren't very pleased with the efforts he was putting in. But now, most of the island is showing up to every event. Plus, Morgan has been showing up for Keola, too!

Not only have Keola and Morgan been growing closer through these events, the whole island is as well. Creating such a tight knit community requires work, but it's paying off well.

Hauata Family Rotation 4:

After spending more time communing with the spirits, Keola Hauata Talla found himself thinking more and more about Morgan Fyres. As he drew a heart in the sand, anxiety set in. What if she's thinking about someone else? Tomorrow's Love Day, so he should make something special for her. He took a home-grown Bird of Paradise flower from the garden just for her at school the next day, and she gave him a rose back!

Keola just had to get his thoughts out of his head.

"So... When you said you loved me, Morgan... I'm.. the only one you love, right?"

She took his head in her hand, looked him in the eyes, and said,

"Of course, Keola. I fall more in love with you every day..."

Soon, the pair found themselves skipping class again to make out in the library. They spent the rest of the day just goofing off together.

Well, Keola did at least make it to his exams at the end of the day, though. After all, he can't let his grades slip too much! Luckily, Keola has lots of people at home to help with homework when he needs it. Both Ukupanipo Talla and Lia Hauata were able to help him out in different ways.

Hauata Family Rotation 4:

On a lazier day in Sulani, the Hauata family divides tasks among everyone and practices their respective hobbies. Keola Hauata Talla was pretty proud of his tan he was able to get in during his free time! Liberty Hauata is pretty handy, and made a brand new nightstand that Lia Hauata has been wanting for awhile. While Duane Talla continues fishing, Ukupanipo Talla spends his free time painting and maintaining the family's garden. Lots to do around here!

Hauata Family Rotation 4:

Keola Hauata Talla has been keeping a small secret from his family -- he has a girlfriend! She's been a bit of a bad influence in some ways, and had a bit of a bumpy relationship so far, but they're closer than ever now. They're a perfectly unexpected match, but they have a shared love of goofing off together.

These two have a habit of skipping classes to get up to trouble together. Today was no exception, as they skipped to make out in the pool during class. After drying off, Keola sat on a bench with her. He took her hand in his, and said,

"Morgan... I want you to meet my family. The island's having a potluck tonight, and I'd love for you to join and meet everyone."

She said she'd think about it, with a little wink. That means yes!

Later that evening, Morgan made her way to the potluck. She met Liberty Hauata and was welcomed as though she was already family. She fit right in, joining the whole family to dance by the bonfire. Duane Talla and Keola put on a little show together, showing off some fire dancing skills!

As the night went on, the couples started getting a bit more romantic. Morgan approached Keola, and he held her hands.

"Well... What do you think?"

"I love it here, Keola. I love your family, and... I love you. Like, a lot."

The party went on late into the night, with the entire island having a great time full of food and drinks.

Hauata Family Rotation 4:

A typical Sulani night for the Hauata family tends to look like this. Their neighbors, the Kealoha family, had too much food and came to have a good time together. Duane Talla spent his evening fishing, some of which he keeps and some he sells. Keola Hauata Talla was glad to see Nikolai Kealoha come by and the two caught up! Lia and Liberty Hauata went to continue chatting and making some kava for the adults.

Keola was able to commune with island spirits that night, which of course calls for a selfie! He spent the rest of the evening spending time with his family, and the spirits benefited him the next morning at school to make faster progress on his fitness.
