Background Information
Since it’s so quiet at the moment, I thought now would be a good time to provide some information on this house.
It’s an old place, and quite cramped with the five of us that live here. It’s one of many similar houses on a busy street. It was built back when there was a mill up the road, and the impoverished workers needed a place to live. As to this house’s personal history, I know a previous owner, an elderly gentleman, committed suicide in the bathroom, which coincidentally, is the room next to mine. My parents were made aware of that when they bought the house, and thought nothing of it beyond getting the house blessed, as per our custom.
We know next to nothing about it beyond that, and we’ve never sought out the old man’s family. None of us have any associations with the occult, and before living here, nobody besides my mother had any sort of belief in ghosts. We are religious, but it’s one thing to have faith, quite another to have to to live with what could be considered some sort of affirmation.
Either way, this is the home we live in. I’ve seen some truly strange and scary things, both in this house and elsewhere, and I hope that this will somehow encourage others to share their stories, and maybe provide some good advice on what to do and what not to do when dealing with this sort of thing.
