You know I'm all for Enid being cold and bitter after witnessing the nightshades and Wednesday. Not only did her "friends" lie to her for years and left her out, Wednesday who she literally turned and fought for replaced her so easily. Watching her being so close to the nightshades would be like a silver dagger in her chest. Enid never really meant anything to any of them.
She knows these people. She knows all they need to do is stop the sirens from opening their mouths. Knows to stop the gorgon from removing his headpiece. She knows the vampire's weakness to garlic and her weakness of her girlfriend. She knows the broody psychic is useless without his hands to draw or use a bow.
She knows her Psychic is the only real threat, that the have to take out first.
She needs to give her full loyalty to her pack. They trust her.
So when her pack asks her "what's the game plan boss? "
Enid full of jealousy,vengeance and bitterness replies "Make them wish they never met us"
It's not that black and white I swear 😭 Wednesday has very much essentially mourned Enid and still doesn't react well when her name is brought up. She was very violent and reactive when she found out Enid transfered so rip the students during her denial stage
Bianca makes sure to keep an eye on Wednesday and makes notes about what happens because 'that sore of a wolf would appreciate being able to catch up on whatever she missed while she was gone'
Hell, yoko sometimes hears a gossip that she's very excited to talk about before her smile falls because Enid isnt there to gush about it with her
Enid leaving has the nightshades growing closer in their attempts to help Wednesday and eventually Wednesday turns warmer because of this in gratitude because surely Enid would want her to be happy right?
Hell nawh, all she knows is that she's been forgotten.
Wednesday looks all the more open and is that not a slap in the face?
Enid knows that she isn't entitled to Wednesday but it still hurts that they look so unbothered when Enid knows personally that she has spent countless nights staying up and thinking of what they're doing in nevermore
She has the eyebags to prove it!
So yes, Enid very much is into the competitive spirit during the tournament because if they forgot about her then she'll make them have no choice but remember her by absolutely besting their ass in everything this event has to offer
Not to mention the other nevermore students, the ones that she knows remembers Enid Sinclair as a stunted wolf can be watching
Is it petty? Yeah but hey, Enid's canonically competitive and she can get very emotional after bottling up so many emotions. I mean, have you seen the bus?
