HBCU Queens Matter!
Hey ya’ll. I need some help! I work at Livingstone College, which is a very small HBCU in Salisbury, NC. Our athletic conference (CIAA) basketball tournament is coming up and during this time the conference crowns a conference queen. The young lady pictured is the reigning college queen. Her beauty runs soul deep. She currently is the college queen, president of the campus chapter of her sorority, participates in concert choir and maintains a 3.8GPA in the Biology. SHe has accomplished all of these wonderful milestones against the odds. She graduated from high school with a sub 2.0GPA but was determined to make a second chance at high education count. This young lady completed the college’s Bridge Program, which is an intense 6-week boot style summer program for students that did not have the GPA or core coursework to be regularly admitted to college. Not only did she excel in this program, but she used it as a launching pad to catapult herself into a position no one in her family has had. She is humble yet embodies what it means to be a queen. I truly believe that she deserves a shot at winning Miss CIAA. So if you have a few extra seconds please go to the link below and vote for Miss LIVINGSTONE COLLEGE!!! Voting is unlimited! Vote as many times as you can!
