"Honestly, probably not" Qui-Gon replied with a shrug. It felt fairly normal to him, but he also had been accused of over complicating things before now. "In the end, all any of us can do is follow what we believe is the right thing to do. Not always the easiest thing to do, but it is always worth it" and he had done that, had caused a lot of arguments with the council, but ultimately he had no regrets for any of it.

"Does it seem like I need that?" he thought he was coping with everything, or least as well as anyone could when they had been told things that didn't make any sense. That might have sounded ungrateful though, and it wasn't what he had meant at all. "I do know, thanks. But things are all ok" or at least he was going to act like they were until something happened that proved otherwise. Right now he hadn't met that criteria.

This all felt impossible. It was hardly the first time he'd been cursed, it wasn't even the first time his cursed life had involved a coma, but it was the first time that he had come out of it not knowing where his family were. That was when he saw the girl. For a moment he had thought it was Emma, though younger than he had ever known her, but quickly he realised. "Hope?" well he was right wasn't he? Older than when he'd last seen her but still.

"Do I?" she hadn't really meant to be. Though right now she couldn't turn her brain off. Memories coming back was hard, and right now it seemed like she was completely alone in all of this. She didn't know what to do with any of this. "Just thinking about memories is all, whole other lives... and if they're just gone now" what was she meant to do with any of this. "Someone once told me that impossible things happen everyday, but I doubt she could imagine this".

Oh he needed to be careful with this. She seemed a sweet enough kid, but her beliefs about who he was, who Emma was... they honestly seemed insane. It was just how strong her conviction was, he had never seen anything like it before, not over fairytales anyway. Besides, there was no point being mean about it, end of the day he knew who he was, anyone elses thoughts on it didn't really matter that much. "Why?" he hadn't really done anything, the opposite really, he hadn't believed her about his past.

"Murder? Who told you that lass?" well it wasn't like she was wrong, it was just that he hadn't really told anyone that yet. Sure stories of pirates existed in this world, they were fairytales though, and the reality of it was far darker. And that was just the pirate side of it, the assassin side? Better to just stick to his story that he'd been a sailor. So much blood on his hands, and he wasn't sure he could say it was worth it. Still, for once he let his usual humour drop, "you shouldn't. Last person who did... well she's long gone now, they all are".

"Well good afternoon to you too lass" he mused, not really looking up from what he was doing. He'd heard worse after all, he'd heard better as well though. "Has that ever worked? I've heard some weird lines in the past, that isn't one" though a lot of the time he was the one giving the bad lines, the accent helped a lot with that though.

"Wasn't it also your choice when it was my Disney plus account?" Tara asked with a laugh, not really caring all that much. The only thing she really hated was long debates on what to watch, though perhaps that's because she wasn't used to having enough time to actually watch anything. "Just... can it not involve witches?"
