This is my friend Bryan.
He's a terrific guy, and he's had such an interesting life. He was friends with Peter Mayhew. Mistaken for a bush at DragonCon by Stan Lee. Was on Loki for about three seconds (which is an eternity in the movies).
He's been the self-appointed Defender of the Fairies at renaissance festivals for years (because apparently some drunk guests think that anyone who is performing as a fairy is fair game to be creepy to - but when there's a seven foot troll over your shoulder, you might think twice). He gives children stones that take away their bad dreams - and more than one parent has come back years later to tell him it was the first thing that DID work.
He's a diabetic - an amputee now, who uses a prosthetic leg to get around.
He's one of my heroes, and I wish he was wrong about the stakes.
But he isn't.
Please, reblog - for his sake, and for the sake of others who are also likely to die if the government support programs for those with disabilities go away.
