Our client, a Worldwide Property Management Service Provider, is now seeking a Regional Information Systems Director to join their Technical Service team which supports the business in the region.
The Regional Director is responsible for leading multiple teams of systems and applications professionals and oversees the programs & projects focusing on full SDLC of business applications & systems including develops road-maps and strategy for business solutions, manage operational compliance such as BCP, DR & Audit and ensures the operational service meeting the service-level standards. Ensuring the business has applications aligned to its business strategies and expected to contribute to the clients business objectives by providing leadership, management and strategic direction.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Leadership: Responsible for the management and development of technology services staff including team building and set & maintain goals and strategy by ensuring the team is aligned with the overall business goals.
Ensure that the needs of business units within your domain are well understood and supported by the team
Oversee the end-to-end solution delivery and subsequent support of solutions within the sales and marketing domain
Work with the business units to assign application and data ownership and work with other application managers and enterprise architecture to improve the flow of data across the organization
Works with other technology partners to discuss and understand the implications of information technology initiatives for their department.
Ensuring that all necessary polices & procedures are followed and updated as necessary.
Acquire technical and product knowledge from internal and external resources to resolve problems and to help identify and address areas for department growth within the context of a corporate environment.
Empower employees and build the technology team capable of success, and being the go to teams for the business where technical solutions are needed. Focus on people, process, and technology.
Financial Management including manage the operating budgets, including assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Investment & Risk Management, ensure proper financial resource allocation in alignment with business vision and that quarterly forecasts meet target.
Manage vendors in the delivery of cost effective and timely systems development and support.
Requirements
University degree in IT/IS or related discipline
At least 12 years of IT/IS experience with 6 years of management experience, including 5 years of experience in a project management capacity with the implementation of business applications.
Proven experience in managing a large team of technology professionals (that include in-house, external, off-shore resources) to run strategic IT/IS projects and support business systems & applications
Experience in Oracle applications preferable
Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally and in written formats to a broad range of audiences; ability to ask probing questions and deliver presentations
Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas
Strong interpersonal skills; promoting healthy relationships and team dynamics
Focus on the end user’s or customer’s needs; ability to set expectations and understand end user behaviour
Good understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilities
Project/Capex & Operation/Opex budgeting, financial tracking and reporting skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities
