out; please explain vincent's awful texting habits.

please note: this will remain the headcanon even after Remake will likely change what has been previously seen.

Vincent has his commonly-seen flip phone emblazoned with his personal Cerberus decal.  This being said, Vincent can only text with his right hand.  Talking in general is something Vincent considers to be a pain, and phone calls and texts are not exceptions.  However, while texting is a bit more physical hassle for him, he prefers it to calling -- he likes his silence.

That being said, he typically tries to send his messages in as few characters as possible while still being legible.  That leads his writing style to have a fair bit of “txt tlk.”  Because he feels like that will make him lose credibility, he usually winds up calling anyway ( if only to preserve his image ).  He does text things like addresses and such, and if someone’s voicemail is full, he will actually go through the process of writing out everything in mostly perfect common: he will likely forget to tack on the ending punctuation mark.  He also cannot be bothered to cycle through the function key to find the apostrophe, so anything requiring one will do without.

With those he is very close with, he will send texts like any other person, though if he asks a question or makes an exclamation, the mark itself will probably be in a separate text.
