So judging by my reblogs, you might have guessed that I'm a little bit obsessed with this fella:

And it was only a matter of time before the obsession demanded more than just endlessly reblogging all of the AMAZING fanart I've managed to find.
So, I harangued @humanityinahandbag into watching the show with me, lol, so that she could tumble into obsession right alongside me. ^_^
Which means that pretty soon, we're going to have something to share with y'all that I'm pretty proud of so far.
In the meantime, here's a little sneak peak:
“What’s with all the looooooong faces, my sorrowful sasparillas??”
The air around them snapped and cracked and split open around Caine. He appeared from nowhere with a sharp clack of teeth.
He was met with blank, tired faces.
Pomni couldn’t find it in herself to say anything. Beside her, Ragatha’s breath stuttered.
“I know! You’ve all had a big day. Why not relax?” The teeth clacked again, thinking. “I could conjure up another beach? Stargazing? A roller disco! I’ve heard humans love to get groovy!” At each suggestion his outfit changed to match, each more eye-searingly colorful than the last.
Again. Silence. From where they sat, Pomni could see that Zooble hadn’t so much as turned to look at Caine.
Caine’s eyes bobbed. He glanced between them once, twice, three times, faster each time. “Come on, now. This is the part where Jax teases Gangle! Gangle, this is where you go off and hide!”
Gangle didn’t move, staring down at her knees. Zooble shifted closer to her.
Pomni stood, steadying herself against the arm of the couch. “I think we’re just going to spend some time together.”
“Grrrreeeaaaat! So a picnic? A safari? A maze or-”
“Alone.”
Caine’s eyes twitched. “Alone… together.”
“No.” Pomni raised her chin. “Alone. Without you.”
“You don’t mean that!” Caine was sounding more desperate. He snapped and another couch appeared. “You’re just feeling down! If you need someone to talk to-”
“She said alone!” Zooble stood up quick enough that Gangle tipped to the side with a squeak. They finally locked eyes with Caine and didn’t waver, not even when they said “Come on,” to the group behind them. “Lets find somewhere private.”
Gangle rose almost immediately. Ragatha took Kinger’s hand and guided him to stand. The chess piece blinked, getting his bearings. He seemed to notice their host had appeared because he started to offer a greeting, but Ragatha gently shushed him.
“W-wait-” Caine zipped to put himself in front of where Zooble had started walking. “Look, I get it. I know the last adventure wasn’t a big hit, but-”
They pushed past him roughly, Gangle hurrying in their wake, followed by Ragatha leading Kinger.
Pomni moved to follow, and then caught sight of Jax in her peripheral vision. She swerved to the purple couch, and tapped a purple shoulder firmly.
He opened one yellow eye.
She nodded her head in the direction of the line filing out.
He closed his eye again and for a moment her stomach sank, but then he pushed up swiftly from the cushions and loped after the others, hands in his pockets.
Relief flooding her chest, she drew up the rear of the line. She’d made it past the couches and out into the wider main area when something caught her by the wrist. She flinched, and turned.
Caine.
His expression was… strange. His proportions weren’t exaggerated. His body was perfectly still, not even bobbing as he floated.
For a moment, she thought maybe he’d glitched, and frozen. But then-
“...What do I do?”
The pity that welled up in her chest was rapidly replaced with a wave of disgust. At herself. At him. At everything.
“Go away, Caine.”
“But-”
“Go away.” She jerked her hand out of his grip.
The others were disappearing around a corner. She hurried after them, not looking back.
If you noticed a bunch of Discotek Media titles suddenly disappearing from The Crunchyroll Store, you weren't alone--many asked Discotek about it, and yesterday on Reddit, they put out a huge list of their catalog titles that are indeed now out of print. You can see their list in the screenshots above as well.
Strangely, however, CR Store also removed a lot of titles from Discotek that were NOT out of print. So MediaOCD announced in their most recent blog post that they will soon start to carry more Discotek titles to order through their online shop to help combat this. They'll start adding a little every month, so it's a good idea to subscribe to their newsletter so you can keep track on what's being added.
Weekly doodles will be going on hiatus till June 3rd.
Work has lowkey been taking over my life lately and I figured that it might be a good time to take a hiatus from nicomaki-heaven weekly doodles to help minimize my stress. I will still try to keep this side blog active with other posts (though I haven't been able to find much content lately sadly) but it definitely seems like a good idea to take a break from posting weekly doodles.
This will give me time to brainstorm new ideas for future weekly doodles as well just get back into the groove of posting more content in general (other drawings on deviantart, Youtube videos, ect). Also just want to do a better job to take it easy more and not let work exhaustion get in the way of enjoying my down time.
Haven't had much motivation to focus on things I enjoy doing and I want to change that. I can't let work run my life.
head's up that TPoH will update this Sunday as usual, but then I will take a week off to do admin work and a lot of irl things that have stacked up and are super stressing me out :'D the comic will resume normal updates on the 23rd
