William Turner of Oxford
William Turner of Oxford was born #onthisday in 1789. Turner was an English painter who specialised in watercolour landscapes. He went by the name "Turner of Oxford" to distinguish himself from his better-known contemporary, J.M.W Turner.
Turner's paintings often depicted the #Oxford countryside, such as two of these works below. The other depicts Stonehenge c. 1846.
