Ichigo and Isshin took his sisters to a haunted house and after the description of a haunted house, Kukaku declined going as she’d ‘knock out anyone or anything that jumped out’ at her and everyone agreed that it was for the best that she stayed home.
So she and Starrk just relax under a large blanket, the tv playing some slasher movie that the two of them weren’t even paying attention to.
If he thought living with her, her brother, their retainers, and a sounder of boar on what was essentially a spiritual fireworks factory was loud... He was sorely mistaken after meeting her distant cousins.
He knew there was probably going to be a rough patch with Ichigo, what with the whole kidnapping Orihime under Aizen’s orders, but he was not prepared for the father knowing what he was on sight, let alone the man being a former shinigami. Already more of a pain than what he was prepared to deal with that day, making the night of the ‘slasher movie marathon’ with Kukaku all that much easier to bear for him.
"If there’s one thing I don’t get...” He starts to say as the slasher begins to go at their latest victim on screen, “It’s why they don’t stick together and hunt the creature down as a unit...”
